Houston Heats Up!

he all day clinic at St. Johns in Houston began with a huge turnout of enthusiastic participants and high school coaches culminating in an exciting game between members of the womenslacrosse.com team and the Houston Heat.
Giving their coaches a run for their money, they proved that you really don't mess with Texas.
At the end of the day, though, the girls were all smiles, exhausted smiles.
Thanks to Angie Kensinger for more than a little Southern hospitality.

Lax Vegas- From Start to Scrimmage

Womenslacrosse.com hit the jackpot with the first stop in our week of clinics at Buckskin Basin in Las Vegas.
Despite the freezing weather, the Vegas girls from Centennial and surrounding schools came out for two days of practice that included intense focus on stick work and basic skills. Proving that even a grassroots program can see immediate improvement, the girls played in a final scrimmage that highlighted their new found talents.
A special thanks to the Scholar family for opening up their home to the campers on the first (and most freezing) day of the clinic so that we could continue to teach without losing any time to the uncooperative weather.

Surrounded by gorgeous mountains not found around most lacrosse fields, Michelle DeJulius explains some of the finer details of lacrosse to the girls in Vegas as Cristi Samaras, Laura Field and Stephy Samaras look on.

Dallas: Rained In

Despite the rain in Dallas, womenslacrosse.com still held court at the Episcopal School for more than 100 girls on the last day of our Western tour. We were forced to move inside, but the rain didn't dampen the spirits of those who participated and while they dodged errant balls in the small space, they proved that lacrosse in this Texas town is just as popular as any other sport.
Thanks to Edie Lycke for organizing and adapting the clinic.
